The vast majority of orb pics and video we have seen are so easily explained through natural occurrences and photographer error, that they are almost laughable as evidence. The ones that aren't as easily explained, are would probably be explainable if a skeptical person witness the taking of the photo.
The founders of LPI are so skeptical about orbs, at this point, we am not even entirely convinced they are a legitimate paranormal phenomena.
As investigators and from an evidencial point of view, we are only interested in evidence that is not easily debunked. And orbs do not fit the bill. The point we want to drive home with this article, is that seeing is not necessarily believing. There are many tricks that can be played on the naked eye, just ask any illusionist. Throw a shutter and lense between that eye and the subject, along with all the possibility for natural interference and photographer error, and the chances that tricks will be played on that eye are infinite. Just remember, don't take everything you see at face value. Be a little skeptical and try to find another, natural explanation.
