As investigators, LPI's staff loves to research and learn about the paranormal, we love the thrill of the hunt, reviewing the evidence to see if we caught anything, we love being able to debunk anything we caught and then really working over what we can't debunk. we even love the research that goes into the investigations. However, LPI staff always have in the back of their minds the potential danger of what we do. Paranormal Research is arguably the least understood area of modern science. No one on this earth has a full and clear uderstanding of what kind of energy and power we are dealing with in this field, and that includes us. However, there is energy involved no doubt. And just like physical energy, there must be laws that govern spiritual energy.
We do not presume to have all the answers, however, our faith, we believe, gives us a good starting point for protecting ourselves and our family from whatever we may find. I do not wish to turn this into a religious website, so I will not go into all the intimate details. However, on the following pages, there are areas described that we wish you caution against.
Some of the cautions listed are simply because, from an evidential and scientific point of veiw, they are not legitimate. On some of these, we have doubts on whether or not they are even legitimate phenomena. Some of the other articles address items we consider to be particulary dangerous, most of which would seem harmless at first, but can open doors to places that no one would want to go.
